Astrological Fortune Telling

Just before I write this post I want to express my desire to send out Reiki Healing to the world suffering the coronavirus. I also would like to pay strong attention to nursing staff and doctors. They are facing massive pressure and they have hearts that are worth all of the stars in the universe.

If any other Reiki practicing individuals want to join me in sending reiki, I propose we do it at 6pm every night. Hopefully enough of us will be sending it out, that we won’t always have to do it at the same time consecutively, but we know there is a set time when we won’t be doing it alone.

Right, so I’ll proceed with this article!

There is a way in Astrology to predict certain elements in your life. The trick here is to understand Sign rulers e.g. Scorpio’s rulers are Mars and Pluto (predominantly Mars though), Virgo’s Is mercury and so on and so forth.

You also need to have your birth chart with you so you can see in what houses these sign rulers are in. To get your birth chart, google free birth charts and there will be many options to use. You’ll need your time of birth to be accurate.

How it works is: you look for the sign in each of your houses e.g. if you have Pisces in the first house then what you need to know here is the ruler is Neptune. Then you’ll need to see where the planet Neptune is in your chart. When you spot it, for example, if it’s in the fifth house. Then you use this website: https://cafeastrology.com/natal/rulersofhousesinhouses.html to search “Ruler of the 1st house in the 5th house.” This will then give you a small prediction.

I have lined mine up for time scale purposes so you can use mine as an example below:

Birth chart predictions:

Ruler of 12th house in 5th: unfortunate speculation, sorrows, delicate child.
Ruler of 11th house in 5th: the children will help their parents. Positive speculations.
Ruler of 10th house in the 4th: increase of the patrimony. Possible gain through exploitation of real estate.
Ruler of 9th house in 9th: remarkable mental faculties. Qualities of mind and heart. A refined occupation.
Ruler of 8th house in 4th: father will die first. Possibility of widowhood.
Ruler of 7th in 5th: happiness in marriage or union. Profitable speculations.
Ruler of 6th in 8th: serious illness affecting the native or someone dear to them, according to the aspects.
Ruler of 5th in 8th: anxiety on account of the children’s health, or happiness jeopardised through a bereavement.
Ruler of 4th In 2nd: sale and purchase of landed estates; marriage with someone living in the country.
Ruler of 3rd in 3rd: harmonious relations with natives environment.
Ruler of 2nd in 11th: influential and numerous acquaintances. Support of powerful friends who support the native.
Ruler of 1st either in 8th: a short life, or a violent death, according to the planet (mars). A rich marriage.

Let’s analyse!

Strangely, I started this time line with the 12th house, which is usually considered the last level of life achievement. But it makes more sense to me to start there after reading my predictions. However, in this case I’ll start at number one.

1) I have not died yet or married so I cannot comment on this prediction.
2) I am lucky in terms of jobs because I always get support from someone influential in management looking out for me.
3) This suits me as I respect nature and like to have positive interactions with people.
4) This has not happened yet although I’ve briefly tasted a career in real estate at an office desk and I hated it.
5) I know the fifth house is the house of children and fun. My own adolescence I lost my dad, but here I believe it may be speaking of my future child.
6) My dad passed away from Bone Marrow Cancer, but I suppose this could be on going. The sixth house is the house of work and giving to others so this may have a clue as to who it is.
7) I’m not married yet but it sounds comfy haha!
8) My dad did die first, unfortunately. The eighth house is the house of transformation, and powerful feelings and destructive habits. It follows the seventh house (partnerships) because it is all about dealing with yours and your partners baggage which is confronted between you. Since this aspect is in the fourth house (home), it makes more sense it’s to do with my dad, and not my children’s dad.
9) Remarkable mental faculties. That’s more like it ey! Haha. I do enjoy higher learning which is the ninth house. I make it a point to keep my mind and eyes open. Being called smart is a great compliment to me so I like that prediction haha.
10) Possible gain through exploitation of real estate. This is in the house of home and so I believe this may not be for reasons that I’ll enjoy (death of a loved one.) however I could make a profit from doing up my own home and selling it!
11) It seems like my children and I will have a good relationship, if not a little role reversal kind of one!
12) This sounds awful because it’s in the house of children which I believe is my own. I would find this devastating and it’s hinted at twice in my chart.

All in all it hasn’t been pretty! But then life isn’t always smooth sailing! Using mine as an example, you know what to expect if you look for yours.

What interested me further though, was that I did this for a few people’s birth charts. Many of them showed strain from an illness, either for them or their loved ones. I can’t help thinking whether this is linked to the coronavirus or future viruses. If we don’t learn our lesson from this one that is.

It’s a daunting period and challenging for most of us. Without a plan or security, we are left to pull the panic chord. However we have a great opportunity to better ourselves here and find our inner strength. Use those survival skills in a healthy way.

I don’t think we need as much produce as we believe we do:
We can make do on very little and I challenge people to test their inner resources. Just like on the film: A series of unfortunate events- “There’s always something.”

In my food blog tomorrow I will share food hacks to save you money.

In the olden days we washed with soap and water instead of using toilet paper. During the war, people used newspaper cuttings. We can make do!

Pretend you’re moving out of your home soon and you won’t need any of your stuff- what can you use the most of now to reduce wastage in the future?

And the most important one, and at the heart of this current virus. Consider the impact of trafficking animals for sources of food. We don’t need them. They are living. Messing with life and death brings balance to us in less than advantageous ways. Consider looking outside of the box and closely at the root of your lifestyle choices. Sometimes change is good, and we’ll wonder how we did it the old way before!

Astrology: An Emotionally Charged Career

Astrology and Reiki references.
Wherever you find your moon sign in your birthchart is where you deal with your emotions. The moon represents our relationship with our Mother so we can tell a lot about what our Mother’s mentality was like with what house our moon is in. How your mum behaved can also be seen with the sign that your moon is in and this all reflects on you. To my basic understanding.
My moon is in the 9th house which is the house of travel and higher education. My mum in essence is supposed to have an “anywhere but here” mentality. This is accurate. This is then supposed to have an effect on my emotions, where, whenever I’m sad I want to go anywhere but here; if I am happy I want to go anywhere but here and express it.
This could explain my writing tendencies. I love to imagine, dream, research and report. And it’s like a need, so much so that if I don’t do it for a while, I get all pent up and restless. It seems like being gifted with an escape key in the world, especially in a world where expressing emotions was almost taboo as I was growing up. Or more that I was too private and paranoid about how I would be perceived to share them. By exploring feelings I was learning about psychology and the deeper meanings of life. I needed to express them to understand them, and to treat them with any less attention would be stifling.
Therefore, it makes sense that after I write I feel free and restored.
However, the catch comes when we monitor my energy; when I do reiki or I receive reiki from others, it is usually my feet, knees and root chakras that need the most work. My heart is often suffering too and I wonder now if this is all connected.
Our knees can store up energy from the past- all those times we’ve repressed our feelings or suffered without the tools to outlet what our bodies had needed from us at the time, we push right down there.
Our root chakra is tied to our sense of security, home and belonging.
Our feet are our tether to earth and we can receive earth energy through them which feels comforting and sustaining, but a lot more hardened and heavy than the energy that we channel for reiki (the universal healing energy) which uplifts, soothes and releases.
One can assume then, that I always need work with my root and feet because I am too far away in my escape world to feel grounded. Or perhaps it’s that my need to be anywhere but here is not entitling me to a feeling of belonging. Perhaps I need to write more to achieve a feeling of belonging, assuming that security doesn’t necessarily mean a place, but a state.
Psychologically speaking, when our bodies store trauma, we need to release this stored energy by acting out our survival responses that we failed to complete at the time that our trauma took place. Exercise is a great outlet.
In this context, perhaps there is more to be said about how my emotions work and need to be expressed frequently in this oppressed manner. By this I mean that much like with the above commonality with acting on instincts as and when it’s necessary, I should have the skill to do this more with my emotions and my escape key- based on my energetic state during reiki.
My moon is in Leo which means that I express myself vividly and dramatically and that I need to do it anywhere but here and so it seems as though the arts are the way to go.
Or running towards the arts.
I always thought my perfect career would be in the arts, caring for others who struggle to understand and express their emotions, or activity based. All encompass expression and release. But perhaps this outlet to express my emotions isn’t the best thing to base a profession on? For the reason that it is merely a need. The more I need, the more I do. The less I need, the less I do. It’s a fine balance to be achieved all the time and dependent on my emotional state!
As for my heart chakra, I am always told it is stored behind glass. Perhaps these emotions I keep so secretly, and express so loudly but privately in writing need to be shared. Perhaps then these chakras will all flow as they should.

I am still searching for my dream career that enables me to feel happy and settled. Perhaps I need to focus on achieving this balance? Or perhaps I need to recognise it’s a need that fulfills me, being only for me, and look at what I can do for the world that fulfils me, but is mainly for them?

That way I can create all the time.

What do you think in regards to your chart, energy and drives in your life?

Spirituality: What Is Reiki?

I read in the book: Reiki For Life, by Penelope Quest that if you extract DNA from someone and take it to a different room, then evoke an emotional reaction from the person it belongs to, the DNA extract still reacts just the same: tightens when negative, expands when positive. Just like how our emotions affect us physiologically e.g, crying when sad, blushing when embarrassed etc; it turns out that even if our DNA is 350 miles away from our body that it will still react directly with our current emotional state. Amazing isn’t it? I also read that ailments always begin on an emotional level- this was in the book: Beyond past lives, by Mira Kelly.

Now we have a an energy system with chakras that are regulating with our emotions:
The crown chakra is just above the head and shines violet- it’s linked to spiritual connection and wisdom.
The third eye is between the brows and shines indigo and is linked to psychic awareness.
The throat chakra shines light blue and links to self expression.
The heart shines green, and is linked to love and relationships.
The solar plexus is underneath the breast near the top of the ribs and shines yellow. It is linked to identity and confidence.
The sacral chakra is below the navel and shines orange and is linked to intimacy, and how we derive pleasure from the world.
The root chakra is near the pelvis and shines red and is linked to security.
There are many micro chakras all around the body and further up and down the auric field but these seven are the main chakras. They run along the back down the kundalini line.

The aura is very tall with several layers and we pick up more information than we are consciously aware of. What Reiki means is being a channel for universal healing energy to flow through the hands towards the person that needs the healing. I cannot say who needs it or offer it out to anyone because it may actually interfere with someone’s personal healing. They have to seek it out themselves.

We all have higher selves- the parts of us that remember our past lives, and remember why we chose to be born to the life we did.

How it works is I place my hands on various places of the body in a dignified manner, however touching doesn’t need to be involved if the client wishes it. I find it helpful as physical touch can be healing in itself. The healing energy makes its way around the body, and removes blockages in the chakras that have built up over daily life.

Sometimes when I’m working on a chakra, my guides will present me with an image in my head to tell me where the problem is so I can help the client further. However Reiki is purely about energy healing and you can never predict what results you’ll get or if I’ll receive any intuitive images at all.

By opening myself up to my guides I can be led around the body to areas that are most in need of healing. Sometimes I can feel the energy flowing very strongly, sometimes it’s pleasant and sometimes it’s painful and I’ll get aches in my body but it will just be an indication of where the client’s pain is. I can switch off to the feeling at any time.

Sometimes the clients may feel things like brief euphoria, heaviness, electricity, and sometimes the energy can stir up old, stored emotions. It’s always good to let these emotions surface as its part of the cleansing process to release them.

After a Reiki session, its important to drink plenty of water; sometimes its common to feel tired, have a headache or be in a bad mood due to the cleansing process and your body releasing toxins, but it never lasts more than 2-3 days. Soon you’ll be able to tell a difference. The first time I had Reiki done I suddenly had a confidence I hadn’t had for a long time and I found myself taking care of myself more; by doing what was best for me I
was much happier.

Reiki cannot take away the cause for our blockages but if it helps we can talk to clients afterwards to help them figure out ways to deal with the causes. It is confidential between client and practitioner and some Reiki practitioners undergo a counselling course for this purpose.

Anyone can have Reiki done, but it’s important to know that it is not an alternative treatment method but a complimentary one. Due to it being a cleansing practice, it is not advised to drink, smoke cigarettes or be under the influence of other drugs at least 24 hours before the session.

The man who rediscovered the symbols for Reiki which are used to produce and enhance the healing energy flow, was called Mikau Usui. He was born a Tendai Buddhist and studied in the Tendai monastery as a child. He dedicated his teachings as an adult towards allowing students to achieve enlightenment and heal themselves without a religious connection or a belief system attached. One day he decided to climb the mountain Kamara Yama and sit to meditate at the top hoping to receive enlightenment. He went 21 days without eating and on the last day he got one great big Reiki over his head and was given the Reiki symbols that are still used in the field today.
